Managing Global Governance (MGG) Academy 2020

What is the MGG Academy?

The MGG Academy is a training and dialogue format that brings together young professionals from Europe, and six rising powers, Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, South Africa. The participants work in their home countries in government institutions, research institutions and think tanks, civil society and the private sector. The overall purpose of the format is to support the development of future change makers that are dedicated to jointly address global challenges. The 4 month programme (13 August – 9 December 2020) consists of academic modules, leadership modules, trips to international organisations, a diplomatic training and a practice-oriented team project.

How can your institution benefit?

MGG alumni contribute an international network and a global perspective. They have developed their leadership competencies and possess a profound ability to identify and address global governance issues in their institutions’ work.

What do we offer?

Participants in the MGG Academy are granted a scholarship, which covers the current costs of living, all MGG-related costs and travel expenses in Germany and Europe as well as health, personal liability and accident insurances during the training.

Who can apply?

Candidates from partner institutions of the MGG network should be between 25 and 40 years old, have three years of working experience, have good proficiency in English and work on topics of global governance, ideally on the Agenda 2030. Sensibility to other cultures as well as openness to various working methods, reflection and team work are also important.
