The forum, co-hosted by the Development Research Center of the State Council, the Beijing Municipal Government and relevant organizations of the United Nations, and organized by China Center for International Knowledge on Development (CIKD), with the subtitle of “Action, Action, Action”, aims to explore the actions and experiences of relevant parties including governments, enterprises, international organizations, think tanks and social organizations, in implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

At the closing ceremony of forum, the 2019 Sustainable Development Forum Initiatives, or World Harmony House Initiatives, were launched. The initiatives called on international organizations, governments, enterprises, think tanks and academia as well as civil society from China and internationally to join hands and take immediate actions for a prosperous and sustainable future for the next generation.
